Terms of Service

Suitability

Our application is only suitable for helping you find a lender to finance the purchase of goods and services that you have selected from a retailer and is not suitable for any other purpose.  Each lender will require that you are over eighteen and resident in the UK.

Where to find information about us and our services

You can find everything you need to know about us and our services on our website www.dopplepay.com .  You can find a copy of these terms on our website.

Your legal right to change your mind.

You can withdraw from our services at any time without any consequence.  Once you have agreed financing with a lender you will have specific rights to cancel and refund the financing.  You should check the lender’s terms in relation to these rights and how you go about refunding the lender as we are not involved in this process. We do not charge you for our services and the price that you pay to your retailer is not affected if you take finance. We do not charge you a fee for our service.  However, we receive a commission based on a percentage of the total amount of finance taken. This will not affect the interest offered to you by the lender, nor the total amount repayable by you.

We use reasonable care and skill in providing our services. We list available options for you from our panel of lenders, but we only consider those lenders and do not guarantee that it is the best offer available in the marketplace as a whole. Dopple cannot guarantee that a lender will accept your application once we have made an introduction.

You are responsible for choosing from the options that we present

You are not obliged to select any finance option that is presented to you. We will provide key information about the options, but we do not provide advice and if you want to go ahead you are responsible for selecting the best option for you from the information that we present to you.

Finance is provided on the lender’s terms and conditions

If you decide to go ahead with finance with one of our lenders, we will connect you with them.  At that point the lender will carry out any additional checks and the lender will take responsibility for providing your loan. However, we give you the opportunity to create an account with us to use our customer dashboard so that you can see details of your loans.

We don’t compensate you for all losses caused by us or our services

We’re responsible for losses you suffer caused by us breaking this contract unless the loss is:

  • Unexpected. It was not obvious that it would happen.

  • Caused by a delaying event outside our control. As long as we do our best to let you know that we are not able to provide our service immediately.

  • Avoidable. Something you could have avoided by taking reasonable action. A business loss. We only offer this service to you as a consumer and not as a business and are not responsible for business losses.

  • We use your personal data as set out in our Privacy Notice

How we use any personal data you give us is set out in our Privacy Policy.  By taking finance with one of our lenders you consent to the lender sharing details of the loan with us so that we can provide our customer dashboard to you.
